Nursing Staff

Vicky Foster Bsc (hons) RVN

I have worked here at Moy Vets for the past 11 years, completing my nurse training and moving up to the Head Nurse position that I now occupy. Before starting at Moy Farm I completed a degree in Equine Science at Hartpury College.

I really enjoy the teaching  aspects of my job and love seeing my new nurses doing their jobs well. I also provide the puppy training here at Moy Farm and am passionate about early socialization and positive reward-based training.

Most of my spare time is spent riding and competing with my horses ‘Arky’ and ‘Axle’.

Nicky Jones RVN

Hi, I’m Nicky! I have recently started working here at Moy Vets as a Qualified Veterinary Nurse. I have worked within Veterinary since I was 15, and completed my Veterinary Nurse Training 3 years ago. I have just returned back into General practice after 8 months at an Orthopaedic referral practice and will hopefully bring across many of my skills I have learnt whilst in referral. I enjoy all aspects of nursing but especially the nurse clinics and interesting surgical cases.

I live in Lancaster with my husband, Tom and our Border Collie, Islay. In my spare time you will rarely see me indoors! Most of our weekends are spent up in the Lake District or Scotland. I love Mountain Biking, Fell walking, Running, Swimming and Snowboarding so rarely stay still. I am hoping to do my first Triathlon this year and have recently completed a half marathon.

Connie Swarbrick – RVN

Hi everybody. Moy Vets has been my home for over three years, originally joining the family as a Veterinary Care Assistant. After years of studying, training and support here I have now become a fully qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN).  I have met many new people and their wonderful pets over the years and look forward to meeting many more. My main area of interest within the practice is surgery and medical nursing.

In my spare time, I love to make the most out of everyday especially socialising with close friends and family. My pets include a Springador called Ellie, a little black moggy called Mollie and a bearded dragon named Pedro.

See you all soon, Connie

Graham Mottram

Seven years ago I was lucky enough to get the opportunity to follow my dream career of working with animal’s.  I started assisting animal rescue charities, initially on a casual basis,

however over time the experience I acquired led to my employment working in a charity animal hospital.  At times this has been a difficult path, but I have not regretted it once. My long term ambition is to become a qualified Veterinary nurse, so my dog Leo and I have moved to the area from Liverpool to hopefully make this a reality.

Naomi Richardson

Hi I’m Naomi, I have recently started working at the Hambleton branch. Graduating a few years ago with a Wildlife Conservation Degree after a year or so I found myself working at a charity animal hospital for nearly 2 years to which I found a passion for nursing. I came to Moy Vets in the hope of possibly training to become a Veterinary Nurse. I hope to bring several new skills to the practice as well as learning many more.

In my spare time I love to go travelling, going on walks and spending time with family and friends.

Jade Purcell

Hello my name is Jade. I joined the Team in January 2020, I really enjoy working here and seeing our nice clients and their cute pets.

I have always wanted to work with animals when I was younger. I studied a national certificate in animal management at Myerscough College. I have also done a dog grooming course. I am happy I have made to where I am now as an animal nursing assistant and look forward to continuing my career working with pets.

In my spare time I like to spend time with my friends and family. I also like to spend time with my three cats Max, Kitty and Luna as well as my pet tortoise in the photo with me, his name in Tango
